A short history about Field Plumbing

I left school at 16 and went straight into full-time college for my first year. In my second year, I found a plumbing company that allowed me to work while attending college one day a week. After three years, I achieved my City and Guilds in plumbing.

During this time, I gained extensive experience in various plumbing work, collaborating with councils and handling maintenance. I spent five years at notable locations like Downing Street, the Foreign Office, and other government buildings. This exposure to large-scale projects taught me a lot, including basic plumbing with radiators and heating systems, as well as working with large cylinders and boilers.

In 2003, I moved to Tunbridge Wells, where I started my own plumbing business. Initially, I advertised in the Yellow Pages and on my website, but as time passed, word-of-mouth recommendations reduced the need for advertising.

My business has grown from strength to strength since 2003, thanks to the many local customers I have and ongoing contracts with large local businesses that provide a steady stream of work each month. The work is gratifying, and I feel fortunate to still have the same passion for plumbing that I had when I first started.

I’m excited to share that my son, Monty, will be joining the family business in September 2024. Together, we plan to continue providing excellent service and expanding our operations. I feel truly blessed to be doing something I love and to have the opportunity to work alongside my son.
